It is a sincere pleasure to announce that Josh Craig has been selected as the new Head Football Coach at Silverton High School. After a very thorough interview and selection process, Coach Craig separated himself as the clear favorite candidate of a large and diverse committee.

Coach Craig brings an element of youth and enthusiasm, as well as a wealth of knowledge of the “Silverton Way” to the Varsity Head Football coaching position.  Josh is a 2009 graduate of Silverton High School. He attended Chemeketa Community College and began coaching with the Foxes directly out of high school.  From 2011-2014 Coach Craig took a break from coaching to complete his bachelor’s degree at Oregon State University. Upon graduation from OSU he returned home to begin his teaching and coaching career at Silverton HS.  Throughout this time, he has coached numerous positions and has held a variety of leadership roles on the staff.  Coach Craig has consistently challenged student athletes to be successful academically and athletically.  He has stressed and taught character, accountability, responsibility and the value of the “Battle” to all of his student athletes in all facets of their lives.  In addition, he has emphasized the importance of teamwork, integrity, leadership development, and communication skills.  He is extremely dedicated and committed to maximizing Silverton High School student athletes’ potential both on and off the field.

We are excited to see the growth of our program and student athletes under the enthusiastic leadership of Josh. Please join us in congratulating Coach Craig on this exciting opportunity.
