Silverton High School ASB, in coordination with Students, Staff Members, the Zenith Women’s Club, SACA, and the Silverton Community, is kicking off its Tree of Giving Month this Friday, Oct. 27th. Fundraising events will last until Friday, December 1st. Our goal is to reach $5000 and to buy needed items for 100 students in the Silver Falls School District. Events are as follows:
Fall Festival – Friday, Oct. 27th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the SHS Commons. Come enjoy multiple games, food, and live music including a donut eating contest, a pie eating contest, and a cake walk. Food includes Chili & Cornbread, goodies, and lots of candy. Admission is free. Tickets are 50 cents each with games and food ranging in cost from (1 to 6 tickets each)…. Or purchase a special edition spooky unlimited game and food wristband for only $15.
Macho Volleyball Tournament – Thursday, Nov. 9th from 5:00 p.m. until the Championship game ends at the SHS Main and Auxiliary Gyms. Come watch Silverton High School Boys battle it out in a volleyball tournament. Admission is $3.
Cardboard Boat Races – Tuesday, Nov. 14th at 6:00 p.m. at the Silver Falls YMCA Pool. You’re in for a great time! Come watch students try to maneuver homemade boats made out of cardboard and duct tape across the pool. Yes, they are in the boats. You won’t want to miss this event. Admission is $3.
