Dear Silverton High School Families,
I hope the summer has begun well for everyone. I wanted to take a moment to reach out to address the questions/comments that are still coming to the high school regarding the yearbook. Please let me express how sorry we are for the errors that occurred in this book. These were not at all intentional. They were the product of a miscommunication and we could not feel worse about it. Our yearbook staff did everything they could to remedy that situation as quickly as possible. The fix was to create the omitted page on a stick-in insert. It was not a perfect fix, but was the best we could do on such short notice. These inserts were ready prior to graduation and we tried to get seniors to pick them up before leaving graduation practice. For everyone else, these were handed out at school during finals week.
Please know that we are addressing these issues and do not expect this to happen again in the future. We would also please ask that everyone be respectful in the comments that are made. Though we are fully aware and understand the frustration, it is worth noting that this is a student publication and several students did put a lot of hard work into this book. We have all learned a lot through this process and expect to be better because of it.
Again, we sincerely apologize for the frustrations and inconveniences. Thank you for your understanding.
