Fall Festival is Friday, October 27th from 5-7 pm in the commons! See you there!
Students: Please join us in the November School Breakfast Challenge. We will be competing with other school districts for the highest participation for breakfast through the month of November.  Eat breakfast at school to help our school win cool prizes.
Students, if you missed breakfast in the morning we are offering second chance breakfast in the commons at the kiosk after 3rd period before your AG.
Come check out breakfast in the cafeteria.  We will start serving at 7:20 am every morning.  There will be breakfast pizza, cinnamon rolls, French toast, hot breakfast sandwiches, bagels with cream cheese, blueberry muffins, and assorted cereals every day, plus a featured item each day.  Every breakfast includes, milk, and a fruit.
Students: The YMCA is looking for school – Age Site Directors at their Robert Frost Elementary location and St. Mary’s location. To apply go to http://theyonline.org/careers.
Class/ Club Activity Information:
Key Club members will be putting “Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF” boxes in your A.Gs in order to raise money to buy tetanus vaccines for developing countries. Sadly, every 15 minutes a child dies of tetanus. A vaccine ONLY costs 60 cents and literally will save a child’s life, so every penny counts! We’re having a club competition to see which Key Clubber can raise the most money. The competition will run until November 1st, so support your club member, donate, and save lives!
Attention Juniors and Seniors: Thank you for completing the National College Fair Survey. This year we are able to take up to 150 students for the Monday, October 30th, National College Fair session in Portland, Oregon. If you are interested in joining, please visit the counseling department to reserve your spot and collect your permission slip.
On Thursday, October 26th, Counselors will be requesting Juniors and Seniors who have indicated they want to be NCAA eligible. We will go over transcripts and answer any questions. Interested students should check the RIE request list for October 26th.  If you are not on the list, speak to your AG teacher and come to the auditorium to learn more.
Our Fall Red Cross Blood Drive will be taking place on November 7 at Silverton High.  This is your chance to save three lives and help people across America.  If you are 16 years you can give with a permission and if you are 17 you can sign up with a Red Cross Volunteer or at the Kiosk or in room A109.  Permission slips are available in A109 and have to be turned in before you can book an appointment.  Red Cross Club members – it’s time to get your lists in to room A109.
Interact Club is having their annual SACA food drive. It will run through October 30th. The AG who brings in the most food wins a pizza party. Help support SACA and bring in non-perishable food to your AG.
There will be an FBLA meeting during RIE on Thursday, October 26th.
Do you play piano and are looking for an outlet to perform? Then think about joining the SHS Jazz Band. See Mr. Petrik if interested.
