SHS Dance Team has a competition at Sprague High School tomorrow! Round 1 starts at 11am, round 2 starts at 2:30 pm. Go FOXES

Registration for the State FBLA conference is due today, February 23rd! Pick up the registration packet from Miss Towery.  There will be a meeting about state during RIE 1st session on Thursday in C132.
The final ski trip to Mt. Hood Meadows is Friday, March 9th. If you have any interest in going, you are invited to come along! The last trip had a variety of ages, including some SHS kids. Sign Up thru Mrs. Roth in back of Library. You must place your ticket order by Thursday, March 1st! See or call Mrs. Hector if you have any questions! There is a lot of new snow…it should be a great trip!!
Class/Club Activity Information:
Hola Las Aguilas: If you are signed up for the Cesar E. Chavez Leadership Conference you need to come and get a permission form from me. The Conference is next Friday!
Attention Seniors:  The Legacy Silverton Health Auxiliary Scholarship deadline is today, February 23rd.  See Mrs. Eberle in the Counseling and Career Center if you have any questions.
Outdoor School runs from March 11th – June 1st this spring, now is the time for 10th – 12th graders to consider signing up to be Student Leaders for a week.  Silverton High students are especially desired for the week of April 2nd – 6th at Camp Cedar Ridge, when the Silverton Middle School sixth-graders will be attending Outdoor School.  Any week works if that week won’t work for your schedule.  Training for new Student Leaders will occur in the Silverton HS library on Wednesday, March 14th from 3:15 – 6:00 PM.  Other trainings available in the Salem and Portland areas if you can’t make it on March 14th.  For sign-up cards see Mrs. Abdou in the Counseling Office or visit www.nwoutdoorschool.org .  Earn two college credits for a week as a Student Leader!
The final deadline is March 1st at 5pm. The OSAC scholarship allows you to apply for hundreds of scholarships with one application. Go to OregonStudentAid.gov to apply!
It’s that time of year again! Time to register your Team for the Annual Silverton High School DODGE, DUCK, DIP, DIVE & DONATE DODGE BALL TOURNAMENT!!!   The tournament is Saturday, April 7th.    First 64 Teams to sign up can play in the 9th Annual Tournament that benefits the SHS Class of 2019 – Project Graduation Party Fundraiser.  Registration Deadline is Sunday, March 1st or when we reach 64 teams.  Registration price is $50.00 more between 2/16 & 3/1.  Send an email to teamsignup@silvertondodgeball.com to request a Registration Packet.   Hey Juniors – if you are not on a Team then you can be a Volunteer to help run the Tournament. Seniors interested in a career as a Plasterer or a Cement Mason, apprenticeship opportunities are now available with the Oregon & SW Washington JATC Unions.  See Mrs. Eberle in the Counseling & Career Center for an informational packet.
