As the school year comes to a close, please note the following information and schedules:
Furlough Days: The district and the associations reached an agreement that we would furlough the remaining Fridays to try to improve our financial situation going into next year. As this is not a contract day, please try to communicate with other staff on their workdays.
Report Cards: We will still be sending home report cards at the end of the year, but they will look different. First semester grades will show A-F. Second-semester grades will show as Pass or No Grade. There will be a notation of COVID-19 that will be included on grades and all transcripts as well.
Materials Check-In: June 15th will be our final date for materials to be dropped off. You may begin returning materials at any time listed that is convenient for you. We will have a drop-off station set up in front of the main office (former bus turnaround). You may return Chromebooks, all textbooks and library books, and any other school materials at any of the times listed below. The final day to be able to drop off homework for teachers to grade is Friday, June 5th. Click to see the Drop-Off Schedule.
Yearbooks: Yearbooks will be arriving the week of June 8th. Stay tuned for pick-up dates and times! There are a finite number of yearbooks, and when they are gone, they are gone. If you have not ordered one, please click here for more information.
Senior Awards Night: On May 28th, we will be honoring our Seniors virtually. Academic, Athletic, Attendance awards will be recognized. Local Scholarship recipients will be announced, and Military enlistees will be honored. We hope you will be able to “join” us as we acknowledge the efforts and accomplishments of the Silverton High School Class of 2020. The video link will be loaded to our website on the morning of May 28th and sent directly to families with students who will be recognized.
Medals, Awards & Honor Cords: All seniors receiving an honor cord, award or medal will be able to pick up during our regularly scheduled materials pick up time on Friday, May 29th from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Graduation: We will be celebrating the Class of 2020 on June 4th. Understandably, the format will look different this year. Commencement will be a drive-through style for families of graduates. We will also be broadcasting for all others wanting to watch and help us honor the Class of 2020!
