Students:
Do you want the chance to design a logo and earn a reward??? Starting today, the logo competition begins. Design a logo for the Mental Health Awareness Club. If your logo design gets the most votes, you earn a giant pumpkin! The competition begins today, turn your logo designs electronically to Ms. Newton by Thursday 10/24/19!
ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS: STARTING NEXT WEEK KEY CLUB WILL BE HOLDING ITS ANNUAL TRICK OR TREAT FOR UNICEF FUNDRAISER! JARS OR BOXES WILL BE PLACED IN ALL OF THE AGs TO SEE WHICH AG CAN RAISE THE MOST MONEY. THE WINNING AG WILL GET TO HAVE KEY CLUB THROW THEM A PARTY! REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR SPARE CHANGE TO SCHOOL NEXT WEEK AND HELP KEY CLUB RAISE MONEY FOR A GREAT CAUSE!
ANYONE INTERESTED in visiting Linfield College?  The counseling department and Mrs. Bay will be taking a field trip to Linfield on Oct. 22nd.  Tour the school, talk to students and professors, visit the dorms, learn about some of their most popular programs, and eat lunch in the dining hall.  We are taking one bus only so it’s first come first serve – priority going to seniors and juniors, but freshman and sophomores can sign up as well.  Permission slips and the sign up sheet or in the counseling office.
Class/Club Activity Information:
Junior students who missed the deadline to sign up for the PSAT may line up in the counseling center on the day of the test (Oct 16th) beginning at 7:30 am to request an unused test. There may be a very limited, or possibly no, tests available.  It will be first-come, first-served.
Senior Photos are due December 13th. Please see the website for submission form link and requirements. Questions? See Mrs. Shetler in C130.
Seniors- If you are considering going into the Military please see Dr. Barnes to sign up to take the ASVAB on Wed., October 16th.

Class of 2020 – Hope you started to get familiar with the scholarship page on our SHS website. Right now our local Elks Scholarship application is open! The Kaiser Permanente Scholarship is also open – follow the link to find out everything you need to apply to this scholarship. Start looking at National and State scholarship opportunities – our website has been updated and there are some that opened up with quick deadlines! If you have any questions about scholarships or transcripts, come see Christy Chorazy in the counseling department!
