All donated units will be used in the next 40 days and are critical to saving lives.  We would like to invite you to participate in our drive and hope you will invite family and friends, too.  With your help, the SHS Blood Drive could make a difference in 400 lives by the 4th of July.

As summer draws near, the blood banks run low and this year is no different.  We want to boost the supply and be ready to help others.  Our drive is in the High School’s small gym and you will be able to enter from the Western St entrance near the gym and proceed directly to our drive.

Individuals 16 years old and older may participate in the blood drive.  If a person is 16, they will need the permission slip (attached) to participate.

Three reasons to donate:

  1. Save lives.   Every donation has the potential to save three lives by the 4th of July.
  2. Giving blood stimulates the production of new red blood cells (think of it as a tune-up)
  3. It’s an act of kindness and compassion; 25% of people need blood at some point in their lives.

Find a time that works best for you and give the gift of life on May 20th –   Sign up here and we will make an appointment based on your preferences and send an email with a specific time to arrive.

Thank you in advance for helping our community, by making a blood donation.  If you have any questions, please contact Kirsten Barnes, our Red Cross Club Advisor.
