Ceremony Information

The Commencement Ceremony for the Silverton High School Class of 2026 will occur on Thursday, June 4th, at McGinnis Field Football Stadium. The ceremony will start at 7:00 pm.

Live Stream of the Graduation Ceremony

A live stream of the graduation ceremony will be broadcast for those who are unable to attend. Complete details and the link will be posted on the SHS website the week of the ceremony.

Guest Entrance and Seating

  • Each graduate will receive eight (8) tickets for family and friends to attend the graduation ceremony at McGinnis Field.
  • Entry Gates (on the west side of the stadium) will open 45 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony.
  • Guests must have a ticket for entrance.
  • No outside food or drink.
  • Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) seating will be available. Please contact our Counseling Center to make arrangements if you have ADA seating needs.
  • To respect each family's view of their graduate, no umbrellas, balloons, signs, or anything that may obstruct views will be allowed in the McGinnis Field Complex.

Weather

We will continue to monitor the weather leading up to the ceremony. A decision will be made by Monday, June 1, on whether to move the event inside due to hazardous weather conditions. As we all know, Oregon weather can be non-cooperative for outdoor ceremonies. We encourage all guests to arrive prepared for what the skies may hold. To respect each guest's view of their graduate, no umbrellas will be allowed in the stadium.

Parking

Parking will be available on campus, as well as in auxiliary and street parking. ADA spots are accessible on a limited basis. To accommodate parking logistics, families are encouraged to drop off their graduates and limit the number of cars.

Restrooms

Facility restrooms will be available at the north end of the stadium bleachers.

Photo Opportunities

Grad Images will be on site to photograph graduates receiving their diplomas on stage. Families will have truly beautiful photo opportunities after the ceremony as the sun sets when they meet their graduate at SHS Pine Street Campus.

After the Ceremony

After the ceremony, graduates will walk out of the stadium and head to Silverton High School, where they may pick up their diplomas. Families and Guests should pick up their graduates at the SHS Pine Street Campus.
