End of Year: Finals & Bell Schedules

We are nearing the end of the 2nd semester and 2025-26 school year at SHS! Below are a few important dates to remember and information about what the week of final exams will look like for 9th, 10th, & 11th-grade students.

Finals Week Information 

Attendance

  • Students cannot take finals early. If a student is absent during a final, they will receive an incomplete for the class and should make arrangements with their teacher to complete the final at a later date.

  • Students should be on time for finals. 

    • Entering the classroom late may be disruptive to other students who are testing.

Students who are tardy to a final period may not be allowed to enter the classroom and may be required to take their final at a later time.


Bell Schedule

  • We will have an adjusted bell schedule during finals week.

  • Students will be able to enter the building at the regular time (7:30am). 

    • The commons will be open to students to study and prepare for finals.

    • The library will open at 7:45am for students who would like a quieter environment.

  • On late-start days  (June 10 & 11), buses will run special two-hour late routes for high school students.

    • Please note: buses will also be running their regular routes at the regular times for K-8 students.

    • SHS students can choose to ride at either time. If they would like to come in early and use the extra 2 hours to study, the library and commons will be open. 

  • Teachers will also be available from 9:00 to 10:00 am to assist with last-minute needs or questions.


This is a good time to check in with your students about completing assignments, projects, and studying for finals. Students can check their grades using StudentVue, and you can check their grades and missing assignments on ParentVue.

    • Monday, May 25: No School – Memorial Day

    • Tuesday, May 26:  Talent Show

    • Friday, May 29:  Spirit Games! 


  • June 9 - 11:  Finals Week Bell Schedule

    • Tuesday, June 9 - 7th-period final

      • Regular 8:15am start time

    • Wednesday, June 10 – Periods 1, 3, and 5 Finals

      • Late Start – 10:15am start time

    • Thursday, June 11 – Periods 2, 4, and 6 Finals

      • Late Start – 10:15am start time

      • Last Day of School!
